When
did you start serving at ABC? 2006
Why are you serving at ABC; what are
you passionate about?
I am passionate about God's Ways, I am
convinced that writing is an incredible tool that can be used for great
good when we use it well. I am also convinced that it is our
responsibility to sharpen the tools we have been given while enjoying
them with flair and flavor. Creativity is key to living life with
abundance for we have been made in the Creator's image . . . and writing
with creativity is an arena for many, many people who do not think they
are creative. This is why I love helping others see that they can use
writing in powerful ways!
A favorite passage of scripture or a
favorite saying: Scripture - Ephesians 1:18-19 "I pray that the
eyes of your heart..." Saying (from the movie "Finding Forrester") -
"Don't think; just WRITE."
Favorite websites, authors or books: C.S. Lewis, G.K. Chesterton,
Dorothy Sayers, Lilian Jackson Braun, Alexander McCall Smith, Agatha
Christie, John Grisham, P.D. James, G.A. Henty, Walter Wangerin...and more!
Personal interests, hobbies or activities: I love working with young
folks, encouraging the pursuit of excellence and a love of learning in
others, reading just for fun, studying and teaching history, cracking
puddles in early spring, hiking near the mountains AND uninterrupted
time to write!
