Alaska Bible College is excited to announce the addition of accredited online courses! By expanding our courses to the Internet, we desire to bring high quality, college-level training in ministry to those that cannot attend a traditional campus. Now, even those in a bush community or the North Slope can have access to world-class, Biblical education from an institution that knows what it means to live and minister in the Arctic!
traditional Online Classes
"Traditional" online classes have no set meeting times and do not require you to "log in" to attend class face-to-face. Class content is relayed through online readings, textbooks, or audio/video clips. Discussion with your instructor and classmates takes place each week via online discussion boards.
The following classes will be offered online for the Spring 2015 semester (January 12-May 8).
- New Testament Survey (3 credit hours)
Hybrid Online Classes
"Hybrid" online classes meet at a set meeting time each week. A webcam, microphone, and broadband Internet connection are required. Discussion with your instructor and classmates takes place in a "face to face" format via video conference. Attendance is recorded, and is required to pass the class. These are called "Hybrid" classes because some students will attend online, while others will attend the physical classroom in person!
Most classes on ABC's class schedule can be arranged for remote attendance in the Hybrid format.
