ABC
opened in 1966 as a division of SEND International, a mission agency.
Most faculty and staff at ABC remain on missionary support as SEND
missionaries, ABC missionaries, or self-supporting volunteers.
Long-term Personnel Needs
VICE PRESIDENT FOR INSTITUTIONAL
ADVANCEMENT - Must be willing to serve as a missionary who raises
his or her own financial support. The Vice President for Institutional
Advancement is responsible for Public Relations, Publications, Alumni
Services, and Donor Development. The Vice President for Institutional
Advancement needs to have a Bachelor's degree with an advanced degree
preferred and at least 2 years experience in Public Relations or Donor
Development and proven administrative, communication, supervisory,
writing skills, and a knowledge of computer systems. The Vice President
for Institutional Advancement must have a proven ability to work
effectively with others. The responsibilities include: coordinating
college forms and publications and in cooperation with the President,
plan and direct College fund raising projects and programs. Actively

DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS AND
RECRUITING - (Beginning immediately) Must be willing to serve as a
missionary who raises his or her own financial support. The Director of
Admissions is responsible for recruiting prospective students to ABC,
administering the student admissions process, providing information to
prospective students and their families, preparing weekly progress
reports, supervising and directing personnel assigned to the department,
and assisting in preparing and administering the budget for the
department. Requirements for the position include a Bachelor's degree
and two years experience with college recruitment and admissions.
Satisfactory training in recruitment and admissions may be substituted
for the experience requirement. Knowledge of the college academic
process, proven administrative, communication, supervisory, computer,

DEAN OF WOMEN
(beginning June 2008) Must be willing to serve as a missionary who
raises her own financial support. The Dean of Women is responsible to
oversee the spiritual and social development of the female students and
is accountable to the Vice President for Student Development. She will
counsel women students as necessary in relationship to their academic,
spiritual, social and physical needs and uphold the guidelines of the
Student Handbook exercising disciplinary action as needed. She will
oversee the cleanliness and general décor of the women’s dormitory while
school is in session. She will coordinate student transportation in
cooperation with the Dean of Men for school activities and trips to and
from the airport in Anchorage. The Dean of Women will supervise and
assist the Women’s Resident Assistant with her duties and generally
maintain personal relationships with all women students, particularly
female dorm students. She also oversees the fire safety program. Contact

MAINTENANCE STAFF (beginning
immediately) The applicant must be willing to serve as a missionary who
raises his or her own support. Maintenance Staff are responsible for
maintenance of all College owned facilities and equipment, and physical
care of the campus. The preferred applicant has experience and/or
training in one or more mechanical or construction fields, is reliable,
and able to supervise students on work scholarship and volunteer work
