During the academic year, various social activities are scheduled. These may include banquets, outdoor recreation, informal game times, service projects, dorm outings, community programs, and annual all-school retreats.
Fishing and hunting are available for interested and licensed students. In the fall, hiking, canoeing, rafting, and mountain biking can be done. In October through March opportunities abound for cross-country skiing, snowboarding, skating, winter camping, dog sledding, and even snowshoeing. The community maintains a number of bike paths, hiking trails, and ski trails around the area. Cross-country ski equipment and snowshoes are available through the college.
Student Wives’ Fellowship
SWF provides weekly fellowship for the wives of students at Alaska Bible College. Bible studies, prayer times, crafts, service projects, and family activities are planned to support student families. Student wives fellowship is organized annually, at the request of interested individuals.
