The recently signed Omnibus spending bill has provided an increase of 3.9 billion dollars to the US Department of Education. Our students will see an increase in the amount of funding awarded. For the 2018 -2019 award year, students could receive a Pell grant up to $6,095.00! Some of our students will also receive The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG).]
Students may be eligible for aid from the Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education (ACPE). The ACPE awards eligible students the Alaska Education Grant (AEG) and the Alaska Performance Scholarship (APS). Students who are awarded the APS will receive up to $4,755 per year and up to $4,000 for the AEG.
If you are a Veteran, you may be eligible for educational benefits through the various GI Bill programs. VA benefits are not only limited to Veterans, spouses and family members may also be eligible.
